Good post, Bud.
I’ve wondered on the things I may label myself with, too, and the things I would not label myself with.
In line with your reasoning, i’m not an ‘aSantaClaus’, not an ‘atooth-fairy’, or even an apsychic-medium’.
I am an atheist, in that a ‘theist’ is someone who believes in a god, particularly someone who believes in one of the one-and-only true Abrahamic gods, not me.
The negative prefix of of ‘a’ is also used for ‘atypical’, asymmetric’ and includes a ‘b’ for abnormal.
The words commonly used is an interesting subject but with all of the turmoil that such words and their meanings can create, I’m happier to stick with the basic, less debatable labels.
I’m an atheist, not a theist.
A skeptic, not someone who believes in shit for which their is insufficient evidence on which to form a conclusion.
A ‘good’ person, as related to reasonable and well-adjusted.
In my life i’ve found connection with more than one of the ancient Irish Celtic gods, who were often connected more with lifestyle than moral judgement.
I wonder what words and labels about me this may draw from others?
Just kidding, I really don’t care what words or labels about me that this may draw from others.

All the best,
Woody
