Doesn’t sound good, right? There are tons of explanations and excuses for this “enlightened” text. Some say it’s actually meant to emphasize the superiority of the woman (yeah right, and also of the gentile…). Others say it’s just a general blessing, plus mentioning the facts (I wonder then: Why in the woman’s prayer – this segment looks totally different?). Yet there are other more creative excuses – I’m sure you can also come out with some of your own.<\/p>\n
Let’s face it. The Jewish religious god loves Jews more than gentiles, and loves men more than women (for each you can find zillion of other quotes). The reason? Simple: The texts were written by men, and in a different era. No need for sophisticated excuses.<\/p>\n
The thing is, you can have a real smart conversation with many religious men. You can talk about moral issues, differential equations or quantum mechanics. Yet, just a few hours ago this person blessed his god for not making him a woman, as he did like five thousand times before.<\/p>\n
So: Either this guy speaks things without really meaning them, or he really believes in this sh*t. Either way, how much would you now trust his arguments about quantum mechanics?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
