There is a new government in Israel.<\/p>\n
For the first time ever, the prime minister of Israel is a formally religious man, wearing a traditional “kippah” (the Jewish religious head cover). He wouldn’t work during the Sabbath, unless some emergency life-saving issues. He prays several times a day as required. He eats only kosher food.<\/p>\n
Yet, members of the ultra-Orthodox parties in the Israeli parliament blame him for allegedly being “anti-religious”. They even bother to follow bad things that happen (such as the COVID-19 fourth wave) with explaining about a sort of “punishment” by God.<\/p>\n
— * — * —<\/b><\/font><\/p>\n The thing is, Mr. Bennet represents one of many trends in modern religious Judaism, and there’s no reason to prefer one over the other – unless your own trend is a different one. In fact, there are also bitter wars among opposing trends of many ultra-Orthodox groups.<\/p>\n It’s amazing how “God’s words” can be translated into so many different interpretations, each pretends to be the exact truth and nothing but the truth.
