And again… elections in Israel. What do you know.
And the “new star” this time is an extreme-right party. The name? “Religious Zionism”. The agenda? Depends on whom you ask.
The candidates of “Religious Zionism” have two faces. One face they present to their usual voter base. With them they discuss religion, religious laws, religious coercion, opposing LGBT, etc. They show their other face to young secular people from Tel Aviv who are looking for “action” and “charisma”. Here they talk about “strong governance”, “declaring war on terror” and other slogans that young people seem to like.
I wonder if those young people know that after they vote for this “strong governance” and this “war on terror” – their supermarket will be closed on the Sabbath.
