Prof. Dan Mahler passed away on April 16, 2024.

Dan Mahler was a freedom fighter, an honorary member of the Hofesh (Freedom) – The largest secular Israeli NPO, and one of its founders. Dan Mahler was also an educated man, broad-minded, and with many interests. He was a plastic surgeon and medical consultant; He was a cartoonist; He was a gifted sculptor; He wrote several books on various topics and published dozens of articles; He led and worked in various organizations for freedom from religion and against religious coercion.

But above all, Dan Mahler was a human being. He promoted the most important values of humanity: education, equality, freedom, secularism. He knew well and loved the contents of Judaism and Jewish culture.
