It hit me. The solution to all our problems. And it’s all based on a mathematical attribute named ‘Transitivity’. Quoting Wikipedia: In mathematics, a binary relation R over a set X is transitive if whenever an element a is related to an element b, and b is in turn related to an element c, then a is also related to c.

So here goes: Let X be the set of all actions and consequences that may happen in one’s country. Let R be the obviously-transitive relation ‘improve’. You still don’t see it? Don’t worry here it comes… It’s a well known fact that improving the religious situation of a country (i.e., demoting religion there) – improves the overall situation of that country. It’s also a fact of life that teaching evolution in schools demotes religion (i.e., improves the religious situation).

Conclusion: Teaching evolution improves our overall situation. How much so? Well, it’s about time we put it to a test!
