According to Orthodox Judaism, the presence of a red cow announces the coming of the Messiah. Entire chapters have been dedicated in the Jewish sources to describing these criteria, which include specific details regarding the testing of specific strands of hair, the distances between them, and much more.

It is hard to believe, but in the modern state of Israel, the “Red Cow Research Center” was recently established – a real organization. This organization recently imported several red-brown calves from the United States, which were displayed to the public in a visitor center. Alas, some white strands of hair were found in the tails of some of the calves. “We knew that the tail was the weak point,” said one of the rabbis involved in the case.
